Why I started this blog
My Background
At 49, I had my first child. I was entering a whole new chapter -- motherhood, my 50s, my father had passed the year before. Everything for me was changing. What did I want to do with the next half of my life? My life was good but I know I had a great more I wanted to achieve. Instead of seeing my life winding down, I wanted to see the road ahead as opportunities to learn from the millions of mistakes I had already made. Instead of just growing older, I could grow BETTER.
My Philosophy
I started this blog to share those mistakes in the hopes that my daughter and millions of other young girls and women can feel empowered and inspired to do great things. We all have moments where we feel humiliated, demoralized, embarrassed, awkward, lonely and insecure. I invite you to welcome those moments as opportunities to realize that
you can be better, you can do better, you deserve better.
It's what we do with that realization that counts.
